We are sorry to hear your family is isolating and we hope you are all okay.

This blog is available as a resource to offer some home learning ideas if you/your child is up to it. Please don’t feel like this is an expectation but we realise in some cases it may be helpful to have some ideas of how to support your child from home if you choose.

  1. On this blog, you will find some suggested activities in different learning areas for your child to choose from. These are in the menu on the right of this page.

  2. Continue to read daily with or to your child. Children can revise sentences and sounds in their books. If you look in the Helpful Pages index on the right of this page you will find lots of books that we have uploaded for your child to read.

  3. Class Dojo is a great way they can share things they make or do at home with us through their portfolio. When the children post their work on ClassDojo we will comment on it and approve the work, you will then be able to see it.

  4. Halswell School has a Covid 19 page where all current information can be found regarding school policy.

Please stay in touch and reach out if we can assist with anything else during this time.

Ngā mihi manaakitanga,

Julie, Rachel, and Nicky
